On April 25, 2005, the band sent in permission directly for shows to be hosted at the Archive:
Subject: Permission for Old Union shows at archive.org
Hi,
I am the band liason for Old Union's show trading and archives, as well as a
member of the band. We would like to allow archiving and trading of live
performances on your site and use of your services. We are aware of the
traffic this site will receive and are happy to be a part of a trade-
friendly organization. Please let us know when we can begin uploading our
music to the archive. Once again, thank for providing a trade-freindly site
and we are looking forward to many years of use.
Sincerely,
Ben-Old Union
On October 25, 2002, we had also heard re Old Union:
David Dean of Deano Productions wrote:
"I book several acts who you might be interested in for your archive."
and followed with:
Each one of these acts: Steep Canyon Rangers, Daybreak, The Greasy Beans,
Old Union, Thad Cockrell and Danny Hutchens are taper friendly and allow
such when taping is permited by the venue...which is almost always. There
are no restrictions, except when the band is taping the performance for a
future live release. All forms of taping (audio and/or video) is encouraged
and welcomed.
(that's an official statement for your use.)
